This week is Corporate Compliance and Ethics Week. It’s a week long event usually during the first week of May, and is used by organizations to highlight the importance of ethics in the workplace.
Now, I’m not going to try and impart what the best course of action to be able to engage your employees is, I’m sure every organization has the ability to discern their individual needs and take appropriate steps to meet those needs. I will however say that when it comes to ethics, as employee; I would like to be inspired to hold myself accountable to a higher standard. I would like for my employer to share the companies values with me, and help me to understand them and align with them.
If you are going to take the opportunity to engage your employees during this week to highlight the importance of compliance and ethics, do so in a meaningful way that inspires your team to hold themselves to a higher standard (and no, that doesn’t mean make me figure out an ethics crossword puzzle).
